MASSIVE BOOST TO CARP STOCK AT ETANG des "DEUX PIERRES"

3.5 tons of CARP ADDED - 2007... PLEASE READ ON.....

We at "Deux Pierres" are proud to announce that we have increased the stock added in Oct/Nov 2007 to 3.5 TONS. The original order was as follows:-

1. 1 ton of Carp 12-14 kilo (26-30lbs) 80 FISH

2. Half ton of Carp 14-16 kilo (30-35lbs) 32 FISH

3. 10 Carp of 18 + kilo (40+lbs) 10 FISH

We have now added to this with

4. Half ton of Carp 8-10 kilo (17-22lb) 60 FISH

5. One and a half ton of Carp 10-12 kilo (22-26lb) 140 FISH

WE CAN NOW SAFELY SAY WE HAVE 500 + CARP IN THE LAKE TO 50+!!!! THERE WILL BE A FEW MORE SURPRISES IN STORE SO KEEP WATCHING THIS SPACE FOR MORE INFO. Above is a few pics of some of the carp being stocked into "DEUX PIERRES", there are many, many more to follow so keep watching this space for more news. The fish shown are weighing in at 41, 45 and 52 respectively, and it has to be said Graham is looking absolutely delighted!!!!

100lB + CAT FISH - DO YOU FANCY CATCHING A BIG CAT????

We couldn't help thinking that our one and only cat fish (Flip Flop) was a bit lonely so to cheer him up we have put some companions in with him. On Thursday 22nd November 2007 we introduced 3 more huge cat fish weighing in at 94lb, 103lb and a massive 114lb (as seen below). These fish are what Kevin Maddocks described to me once as 3MAN FISH. I think you can see why!!

LAKE RECORD FOR WRIGHTY & BEV WITH HER PERSONAL BEST

Our man Barry Wright celebrated his birthday a day late by breaking the LAKE RECORD with this cracking MIRROR of 49-2.The next fish Barry caught was a 40-2 MIRROR which has put on 12 pounds since April. Well done MATE!! By the way Barry, your council tax bill has arrived at "Deux Pierres".

Week Ending 20th October 2007: We think its fair to say that Bev looks well pleased with this PERSONAL BEST COMMON of 32-2 and with the temperature falling below freezing for three nights, so SHE SHOULD BE, WELL DONE TO BEV and CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU FROM "DEUX PIERRES"!!

LATEST CATCH FOR SEPTEMBER 2007......

That man Barry Wright just can't keep away from "DEUX PIERRES"!!!

On his latest expedition Wrighty managed 18 fish as follows:- MIRRORS of 36-4, 32-8, 27-8, 34, 32-8, 26, 30-8, 31, 25-8, 34-12, 20, 33-8 and a 44-12. COMMONS of 25-8, 42-8, 36, 17, 24-4. THATS AN AVERAGE WEIGHT OF OVER 30 POUNDS!!! Here is Barry with his first fish of the trip a 36-4 mirror which has put on 10lbs since last October (see GALLERY), as have many of the originals.

WEEK ENDING 18th AUGUST 2007....

Despite the changeable weather with water temperatures fluctuating by as much as 5 degrees daily, Lawrence Hamilton returned to "DEUX PIERRES" this week to take a 10 fish catch including 4 x 30 plus commons to 35 and mirrors to 34. To top his week off he not only had wife Debs with him, he also took 20 Euro's from owner Graham for a side bet , but we won't go into that!!! Ian Wills accompanied Lawrence and Debs and was well pleased to beat his PB by 1lb with this 43 mirror.

AUGUST LATEST 2007 - 9 FISH CATCH AVERAGE WEIGHT 36 POUNDS

"Deux Pierres" regular Barry Wright has been at it again, this time with first timer in France, Tommy Watts.

Barry and Tommo shared a 9 fish catch averaging 36 pounds. With Barry taking commons of 41-4, 32-8, 31-8, and mirrors of 44, 32-8 and 29-12. Tommo had mirrors of 43-8, 31-8 and 30-4. Well done to them both!!

JULY LATEST 2007

Owner Graham has been taking advantage of the quiet spell and in-between working has caught numerours fish including commons to 42 and mirrors to 44. We will of course keep you posted with latest developments on Etang des "Deux Pierres". Happy Fishing!!

MAY/JUNE LATEST 2007

Things have been relatively quiet on the lake for the last six weeks or so, not many anglers have visited, (YOU DON'T KNOW HOW GOOD IT IS YET!!), but some catches worthy of note are Lawrence Hamilton and Bacon Bob catching a total of 34 fish between them! Lawrence catching a 36-10 mirror and Bacon Bob in with a 38 mirror. So both anglers went away more than happy!!

Barry Wright (our cat fish man) went away from "Deux Pierres" chuffed to bits after catching 14 fish, 1 mirror to 44 and a common to 40, BW also caught, 5 30's to 37 and seven carp in the upper twenties.

Barry Wright on his first day of a two week session landed the cat fish known as "Flip Flop", weighing in at a whacking 75 pounds.

APRIL NEWS2007

Due to the month long heat-wave experienced in this region for the whole of April, the Deux Pierres fish were more interested in spawning than feeding, but some catches worthy of note include Barry Wrights 9 fish catch in the 1st week. Kevin Pitts group managed Personal Bests, including mirrors and commons to 45 pound.

The third week of April when temperatures soared into the high 80's produced a 13 fish catch for Ken Wilkes which included commons to 39 pound and mirrors to 44½ pound. Also that week produced mirrors to 44-12 for Miles Farrington.

This was followed by husband and wife team Gordon and Ann McIntosh who shared a 16 fish catch with mirrors to 41-5 and newcomer to the sport Dan Eastes, after a succession of lossess managed a brace of mid 20's. These fish were all caught in the first four days before another spawning frenzy stopped any further action.

47-8 mirror tops a 16 fish catch in early March

Dave Bradley fished a six night session and his first fish from Deux Pierres was a MASSIVE 47-8 mirror. Dave then went on to take a further 15 fish including a 45-8, a 42-4, a 39-2 and several other 30's including commons to 36-8. WELL DONE TO DAVE!! The fish are piling the pounds on and our first 50 is not very far away. "STOP PRESS". Lawrence Hamilton followed Dave and opened his account with a 45 mirror and a 34 common.
