31st October - 7th November
This week saw the arrival of Jarek and Sicco from Holland and by Tuesday morning things were looking very grim with no runs at all in what looked to be very good conditions, wet and windy and at last some rain. 24th October - 31st October
8 anglers 89 carp 6 x 40's plus 38 x 30's
This week saw the return of the UK Carp Crew led by Steve Milner. Check out their web-site/forum at www.ukcarpcrew.co.uk . Tyler fished in The Lonely (again) and done well with 24 carp including 2 x 40's, 7 x 30's and 15 x 20's, it's quite unusual to catch a double nowadays and you are definitely more likely to catch a 35+ than a double. Rob fishing in Marcelle's had what in his words "thes best ever weeks fishing" with 23 carp, 1 x 40 plus 11 x 30's. Phil fished "Pierres 2" for 12 carp, 1 x 40 and 4 x 30's. Ed in Mid-Drive had 11 with 4 x 30's. Mark in "Pierres 1" had a very slow start but ended up with 6 fish, 42-14, 39-6, 38-3, 31-8, 30-2 and 30lb!! Ant fished in The Grandstand and took 4 fish to 45lb which smashed his PB to bits (enough said!). Steve and Dave shared The Beach, the cooking and all the chores and even had 7 carp to 38-3. More pics can be seen on the forum.

17th - 24th October
8 anglers 109 carp, 5 x 40's, 56 x 30's
It finally felt like Autumn this week and after a slowish start probably due to the overnight frosts on Saturday and Sunday things picked up with "Pierres 1" and "Pierres 2" producing 43 fish to Coen and Marcel from Holland. They shared the swims by swapping over half way through the week although Coen caught the lions share of their 43 fish total including fish of 46-12, 44-2 and 40-4 plus 19 x 30's to 39-8. Father and son Chris and Callum shared The Beach with 13 year old Callum showing great potential by taking 18 carp including 13 x 30's to 38-4. This young angler done all the work his self and even spodded for his Dad. Chris whose first fish out of 8 was 46-8 smashed his PB by 30lbs. Not content with this Callum put a pike rod out and set a lake record for a pike at 17-8. Kev took an impressive 14 fish from Mid-Drive including 11 x 30's to 39-8. Tom fished Lilly's and then The Grandstand for 11 fish up to a PB of 44-6. Ben took 10 from The Lonely up to 37-10 while Tom took 5 with 4 x 30's from Marcelle's.

Darren's best fish from The Beach was a 38-8 common followed by 4 more 30's and 2 x 20's. 26th September - 3rd October
8 anglers 56 carp to 45-2
With the weather still roasting hot for the first part of the week it was a very slow start but things picked up at least for Steve and Keith in "Pierre 1" and "Pierre 2" with Steve in "1" taking 21 fish including a 38-8 common and Keith in "2" taking 12 with another 38-8 common 30 minutes after Steve's. Danny had 5 in Marcelle's to mid-thirties. Brian in The Lonely managed 9 to 45-2. Paul and James had 5 from The Beach. Dave had 3 in Mid-Drive while Nick saved the blank by taking 1 from Lilly's.

74 carp including a common of 47-8 for 6 anglers

Dave took 26 carp with 13 over 30 to 38-4, while Alan who is now a remarkable 75 years old took 17 fish to 43-8 including 7 on the last night from "Pierre 1". 25th July - 8th August Holiday Fortnight at "Deux Pierres"
171 carp plus a lake record catfish 129lb
This two week period saw Lawrence and Son Charlie (Little Bob), Andy, Kelvin, husband and wife team Mac & Ann join us for what is becoming an annual social event. They were joined for the first week by Lee and Dad Steve for their first trip to "Deux Pierres" and for the second week by regulars Tommy and Anthony from Liverpool and Jacco from Holland. 171 carp were landed in the two week period up to a PB 45-2 for Tommy and a massive 129lb catfish for Mac. Also Tommy's Brother Anthony caught a huge ghost carp, although we are unsure of the weight (please see photo below). A great time was had by all and roll on next time

18th - 25th July
No-one booked this week so Graham fished 3 nights in The Beach and took 15 carp including 3 x 40's to 49-14 and 5 x 30's from a heavily baited area at 65 yards.
11th - 18th July
23 carp for 4 Anglers
Once again the fish are still more interested in natural food but some good fish were caught. Regular Tommy Hargreaves made the long trip down from Liverpool and fished in The Lonely taking 9 carp including 5 commons of 35-14, 34-5, 33-14, 32-1 and 30-7 and as always had a bloody good laugh. Sorry no pics. Andy fished on The Beach accompanied by Partner Claire for his first fishing trip in France and was well pleased with 7 carp to 46-15, plus 4 x 30's to 36. We were joined on Wednesday by Chris Smith and Sam Green who were out in France for the European Championship Clay Pigeon Shooting Finals and wanted to relax for a few days after the competition. They started in The Grandstand and The Dug Out before moving to Marcelle's and Sam who by his own admission is more into shooting than fishing (he actually won the Junior section of the competition) had 2 carp, a 28-6 common and 27-4 mirror. However big Chris fared better at the fishing taking fish of 52-4, 42-2, 34-6, 32-4 and 21lb.

4th - 11th July
19 carp for 3 Anglers
After having had a rest last week with no anglers on we thought the fish would be well up for some bait but instead they decided to feast on the natural food and proceeded to tear the lake bed up making some areas of the lake more like a jacuzzi what with all the bubbling going on, this proved to be very frustrating for the 3 anglers on this week. However Daniel managed 10 carp to low 30's from The Beach. Reece and Ben fished "Pierre 1" and "Pierre 2" for their first trip to France with Reece having 6 carp to 33-2 and the Sturgeon (which Daniel also had) and Ben taking 3 to 39-2. So all in all considering the hammering the fish here have had this year, not too bad a week.
WE HAVE AVERAGED 96 FISH A WEEK THIS YEAR AND NO-ONE HAS BLANKED. HOW MANY COMMERCIAL FISHERIES OUT HERE CAN SAY THAT? UNLIKE SOME, WE TELL YOU WHAT HAS BEEN CAUGHT EVEN IF IT IS NOT TOO MUCH. Pics please Dan.

20th June - 27th June
